An incredible edible viola
A large-flowered variety with fragrant flowers that are tasty and perfect for cake decoration. Compact plants, blooming freely from spring to autumn in beds and borders. Flowers are edible and ideal in salads. Flowers May-September. Height 20cm (8"). N.B. Please note that although the flowers are edible - the leaves and stems are not. 25 seeds
Sow at 15-20°C (60-68°F) in pots or trays using a good quality, moist compost, cover the seed lightly with a sprinkling of compost, or vermiculite. Place in a polythene bag or propagator and keep the soil moist at all times. When the seedlings are large enough to handle transfer and grow on in cooler conditions. Acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 5-7 days before planting out 15cm (6") apart.
