Fiesta’s mode of action is through iron toxicity at the cellular level. The product is quickly absorbed by the plant tissue and transported down to the root. The excessive uptake of iron by many broadleaf weeds leads to the contacted area turning black and brown which subsequently causes plant death. Fiesta requires spot application to target weeds.

Weed species controlled by Fiesta include: Black medic (Medicago lupulina), Broadleaf plantain (Plantago major), Bull thistle (Cirsium vulgare), Canada thistle (Cirsium arvense), Common chickweed (Stellaria media), Creeping buttercup (Ranunculus repens), Dandelion (Taraxicum officinale), Dovefoot geranium (Geranium molle), English daisy (Bellis perennis), False dandelion (Hypochoeris radicata), Healall (Prunella vulgaris), Moss, liverworts, algae and lichens, Narrow-leaved plantain (Plantago lanceolata), Persian speedwell (Veronica persica), Shepherd’s-purse (Capsella bursa-pastoris), Silverweed cinquefoil (Potentilla anserina), Slender speedwell (Veronica filiformis), White clover (Trifolium repens), Wild chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla).

One litre of product will treat between 62.5 and 250m² (672.5 - 2700 ft²). Mix one part Fiesta Lawn Weed Killer with 24 parts water (40 mL in 960 ml of water).
