Cucamelon
Cucamelons may look like tiny watermelons, but taste like cucumbers with a sweet and tangy flavour. Similar in size to cherry tomatoes, cucamelons are great for snacking or pickling. Can be planted in ground or containers, as long as the vines have support for climbing. Pick fruit often and early to prevent the skin from hardening. Cucamelons are very sensitive to frost, start seeds indoors and plant out once all risk of frost has passed. Be sure to harden off the seedlings over several days as they can be quite tender when young.
